Add Videos or Audio tracks to a post
Adding videos or audio tracks from YouTube, Vimeo, or SoundCloud to your posts makes the content more engaging and interactive for your visitors. Views from your portfolio are added to the view counters on the original platforms, which also contributes to the visibility of your media on these platforms. Follow these steps to add your media to your posts:
- Go to YouTube, Vimeo, or SoundCloud and find the video or audio track you want to add to your post.
- Copy the URL of the page where your media is presented. For this, you can use the share button provided by these platforms or simply copy the URL directly from the browser's address bar.
- Access the PAGES or NEWS section.
- Click on Edit in front of the post.
- In the text editor, place your cursor where you want the media to appear.
- In the toolbar, click on the ▶️ icon and paste the previously copied URL.
YouTube or Vimeo?
- YouTube: Views generated from your portfolio are counted and can boost your video's visibility on the platform (if your video is set to "Public").
- Vimeo ("Starter" paid option): You can customize the embedded video player on your portfolio. You may remove the Vimeo logo, hide certain control buttons, and change the button colors to match your preferences.
My video isn't showing on my portfolio. What should I do?
To ensure your video displays properly on your portfolio, make sure the privacy settings allow embedding:
On YouTube
- Select Public or Unlisted (do not choose Private).
- Keep Allow embedding enabled (it's on by default).
On Vimeo
- Under Link Privacy choose Public, Hide from Vimeo or Password (avoid Private or Unlisted).
- Under Embed Privacy select Anywhere.
- You can find these settings by clicking the Share button at the top right of your video.
